I’m starting to recreate my writing schedule, and i also started using one of the inserts sent to me by the kind Raissa. I’m using the grey one with the ledger grid cover.
Many of you already know by now that I am rather fond of stationary and writing utensils, okay, obsessed. I really am, I’m that person that is happy to spend hours and hours on different websites reading and researching and overall ogling different types of fountain pens. I’m that person who watches TV and notices the pens characters use on shows and movies, and I feel damn proud of myself when I’m able to note the particular brand and especially model. I even dance when it turns out that I have the same one.
(Stop shaking your head, save the judgement for the end of this post.)
Here is a recent example: I was watching Endeavour from Masterpiece, and Agent Carter from Marvel and realized both have Parker Jotters (or very close lookalikes.) Jotters are made to look like vintage pens, so I assume the main actors of the show were handed these. Morse has a black one, and Betty Carter has a red one (in her purse).
Okay, you can judge me now.
Anyone else obsessed about something random like this?
Hope everyone started off the weekend well. I met it with a little annoyance, thanks to the neighbor’s sudden decision to renovate her roof. Safe to say, sleeping in will be near impossible till the work is done, leaving my nerves more than just a little frazzled. A happy surprise, however, is the realization that I had this book stashed in one of my bookcases: Keri Smith’s “THIS IS NOT A BOOK.” Why exactly I put it away, I have no idea, but hey, at lease I have something to work on as I go about my day. Anyone else have one of her books, and especially a completed one? Please let me know!
Well, have a great evening and week!
PS: Anyone else finds discover things long forgotten recently?
Hello all. Just wanted to show you how I’ve finally started decorating my second Midori Traveler’s Notebook refill. A few days ago, I posted a video of the first completed one. All your positive feedback has given me the encouragement to personalize my notebook more. I originally went with simple layouts when journaling (except for those few crazy days) because I always worried that if I went crazy with the decorating, it would take away form my writing. And, frankly, I had this horrible misconception that “adults” didn’t put glitter in their notebooks. Now though, I’ve started to let loose and just decorate my notebooks however I like. Everything goes! (Granted, no glitter has been used thus far. It’s too messy, even for me.) Well, for all of you journalers out there, what do you use in your own notebooks? Also, if you have pictures please send me a link!
For those of you who never saw my first flip, here’s a link to the Youtube video. Well, hope you all have a wonderful day!
I just uploaded a post on my craft blog about the pocket sized leather notebook I made a few days ago. It’s styled after the Midori Notebook, only altered to my specifications (extra room for more notebooks, beaded spine, and closure elastic also set in the spine). Check it out when you have the time!
Have a great night!
Hello all, just wanted to share with you one of my favorite soundtracks at the moment. I spent this 4th of July with my friend/roomie and we made burgers, played video games and watched the entire first season of Legend of Korra. At night we drove around, went to a lake in a nearby city, but left quickly because fireworks were illegal in that particular location and no one was in the mood to break the law, and now, we’re finishing up the first season of Vikings. How was your 4th of July?
It’s 5:18AM and I’ve yet to fall asleep. Anyone ever have nights like this, when the Sandman’s decided to leave the party early without saying hi? If so, what do you do then, and, what do you think about?
*Could the four cups of Folgers I drank throughout the day be to blame? Nah, couldn’t be.
